Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Alec Maddalena

Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, Dr. Alec Maddalena completed his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and was a member of both the Honors College and the Lyman Briggs College. During his time at MSU, he was fortunate to be a member of the Drumline for the MSU Marching Band and travelled to several NCAA bowl games performing at the football games.
He continued his education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was awarded the Academy of Operative Dentistry award for outstanding clinical skills. After graduation, he completed an advanced training residency at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit. This program provided extensive experience in dental implants, root canals, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Maddalena previously worked as an associate dentist in Grand Blanc and as a mobile dentist for elderly patients and those with complex medical conditions. He returned to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as an adjunct faculty in 2022, teaching in the student clinics part-time, which allows him to stay current on advancements in dentistry at the number one dental school in the nation. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing the piano. While he often can be found wearing the colors of both his alma maters, he still maintains season tickets for MSU football. Go Green!
Dr. Maddalena is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, and is a certified Invisalign provider.
